Seeking volunteers for “Trends in Supplement Use Survey”

Faculty and staff from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School are looking for sports medicine physicians to participate in an anonymous survey examining supplement trends from sports medicine providers. The purpose of this study is to assess the popularity of supplement use and the frequency of supplement recommendations by sports medicine physicians. Better understanding of physician trends and motivations could aid in the development of more accessible, standardized guidelines for providers to reference when treating patients. The study has received IRB approval from Rutgers University (IRB Number: Pro2024001474). All responses are voluntary and anonymous, and no IP addresses will be collected or stored. If you are a sports medicine physician who treats athletes in the United States, you can participate by accessing the survey here. This research has no connection to ACSM, and data collection and sharing of results are not associated with ACSM. Please reach out to Ilona Schwarz, MD, via email at ilona.schwarz@rutgers.edu for more information and questions.
