Attention Presenters: Preparing your poster and oral presentations

Congratulations to all SEACSM members who will be presenting in oral and poster free communication sessions, thematic poster sessions, tutorials, and symposia at the Annual Meeting!

To make sure your presentation and the meeting as a whole runs smoothly, there are a few things you need to do to prepare. First, make sure you register for the conference and book a hotel room. Then, prepare your presentation following the guidelines below.

Poster free communications and thematic posters

Posters should fit on a display board which is 4 feet high and 6 feet wide. To make your poster easily readable, the title, author(s), and institution should be prominently displayed across the top border with lettering height between 1–2 inches. Choose large font (at least 18 points) and clear graphics that can be easily viewed from a distance of about three feet. Most importantly, make sure you know the time and location of your session to have your poster set up and ready. If you are flying, bring your poster as carry-on luggage to make sure it arrives with you. More detailed poster presentation guidelines are available here.

Oral free communications, tutorial, and symposia

If you have an oral presentation, you will submit your presentation before the conference so it can be loaded on the conference computers. You will receive instructions about submitting your presentation 2-3 weeks before the meeting. You should plan to have your presentation submitted at least one week before the conference. If you have any questions about preparing and submitting your presentation, please contact Executive Board member Liz Ackley at ackley@roanoke.edu.

Exhibitor and Sponsor Opportunities

The Southeast ACSM chapter has a variety of opportunities available for companies and organizations to market their products and services to sports medicine and exercise science professionals in the southeast and to gain local, regional, and national exposure for their company.

One of the highlights of the conference is the opportunity for one-on-one interactions with exhibitors participating in the meeting. The opportunity to learn more about the products and services that companies and organizations have to offer sports medicine and exercise science professionals is an important part of the meeting.

The sponsors and exhibitors that participate at the annual meeting are from a wide variety of industries and institutions. These vendors offer products, equipment or services that the conference attendees frequently use in their professions.

Please contact Michael Berry (berry@wfu.edu) if you or your company or institution would like to participate as a sponsor or exhibitor, or if you know of a company or institution that you would like to see at the meeting.
